About Me

Healthcare is complex. The science is layered, the data is messy, the systems are fragile, and the people navigating them; patients, clinicians, researchers, program officers, deserve tools and information that actually make sense.

I built my career around that reality from two directions at once.

On one side, I'm a medical microbiologist and researcher, someone who understands how infectious diseases move through populations, how surveillance systems catch or miss outbreaks, how antimicrobial resistance develops in clinical settings, and how laboratory science connects to real-world health decisions. On the other side, I'm a UX designer who has spent 4 years turning complex health information into digital products that people can actually use. Most people come to global health from one direction. I come from both and that changes what I can see and what I can build.

It means when I'm designing a clinical tool, I understand the workflow it sits inside. When I'm analyzing disease data, I can also ask how it should be visualized and acted on. When I'm working on a health program, I understand the science, the systems, and the human experience at the same time.

That overlap is where I do my best work and it's where I'm at. Disease surveillance. Digital health systems. Global health programs. Research-to-action pipelines. Clinical UX. Health data. Anywhere that science, design, and human need have to work together to solve something real.
